Principal Engineer - Device Modeling and Characterization

Overview

Principal Engineer responsible for developing, validating, characterizing, and extracting DC and RF models for semiconductor devices and structures.

What you'll do

• Develop and validate DC and RF models for BJTs, varactors, diodes, inductors, transmission lines, and resistors.
• Characterize devices and extract models across DC and RF frequencies.
• Interpret test results and debug device and measurement issues.
• Collaborate with lab engineers on device measurements and test structure definitions.
• Apply semiconductor physics to evaluate and analyze test results.
• Prepare reports and make technical recommendations.
• Resolve discrepancies in data and models with the team.

What you'll need

• PhD or M.Tech/MS in Electrical Engineering.
• Specialization in device modeling, RF modeling, or semiconductor devices.
• 0–4 years of experience.
• Knowledge of semiconductor device physics and devices including diodes, BJTs, varactors, inductors, and MOSFETs.
• Knowledge of S-parameters, Y-parameters, and Z-parameters.
• Fluency in written and verbal English.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of EM tools such as EMX, ADS Momentum, or HFSS.
• Knowledge of basic RF concepts including S-parameters and de-embedding.
