Principal Engineer I

Overview

The Principal Engineer supports discipline project execution within the EPC/detail design engineering framework, reporting directly to the Head of the Department, and works under the discipline project Lead Engineer to deliver work packages within contractual framework, quality, schedule and cost.

What you'll do

• Execute assigned discipline work packages in compliance with the Discipline Manual and Job Manual to ensure contractual requirements are implemented and fulfilled.
• Ensure good quality of design deliverables.
• Complete allocated tasks within allotted man-hours and schedule dates.
• Contribute to on-time quality review of inter-discipline documents and vendor deliverables.
• Contribute to implementation of safety-relevant principles, standards, rules and procedures.
• Contribute to implementation of lessons learnt for assigned projects.
• Support technical procurement activities for various types of equipment.
• Support reviews and approval of vendor documents applicable to the discipline.
• Attend inspections as required at the request of the Inspection department.
• Provide site assistance by replying to site queries.
• Execute applicable scope of work in compliance with the HSE Management System and IMS for the discipline/project.
• Ensure documentation is prepared, checked and approved according to the Project Quality Plan and ready for release by the respective Lead Engineer.
• Provide all necessary input to the lessons learnt process, capitalization and best engineering practice.

What you'll need

• MTech/ME or BTech/BE in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10 to 14 years of experience in an EPC or detail design engineering company in the engineering discipline for execution of projects in sectors such as Oil & Gas, Energy, Refining and Petrochemicals.
• Fluent English.
