Principal Engineer I - Electrical

Overview

Principal Engineer I (Electrical) leads electrical engineering design and execution for proposals and projects, ensuring safety, compliance, quality, schedule, and cost effectiveness.

What you'll do

• Lead discipline engineering for proposals and projects within contractual scope, quality, and timeline.
• Participate in reviews of work activities and projects and monitor workflow.
• Develop and implement engineering practices, workflows, and procedures; recommend and implement specs.
• Control KPIs, benchmarks, and efficiency figures used for estimating equipment, materials, and man-hours.
• Ensure compliance with the Discipline Manual and Job Manual during execution and ensure deliverable quality.
• Manage technical procurement activities and review/approve vendor documents applicable to the discipline.
• Provide site assistance by replying to site queries.

What you'll need

• Experience in EPC or detail design engineering for execution of projects (sectors include Oil & Gas, Air Separation, Energy, Refining, Petrochemicals).
• Education: MTech/ME or BTech/BE in Electrical Engineering.
• English proficiency: fluent.
• Ability to perform MHRS calculations using the discipline calculation tool.

• Reports to the Head of the Department as direct discipline superior.
