Principal Engineer - Project Engineer (Hybrid)

Overview

Serve as the software project engineer for Collins Aerospace programs, providing project management and technical direction across all program phases, with an onsite role in Bengaluru.

What you'll do

• Lead projects as the software project engineer, supplying project management and technical direction during pursuit, bidding, planning, execution, and sustainment.
• Ensure consistency with Collins Aerospace technical engineering processes.
• Help define development plans and ensure compliance with DO-178 and other certification requirements.
• Lead certification efforts through audits.
• Guide a wide range of entry-level to highly experienced engineers.
• Communicate technical progress, risks, opportunities, financial data, and other project management information clearly and concisely.

What you'll need

• B.Tech/M.Tech.
• Minimum 15+ years prior relevant experience.
• Experience with project management and providing technical direction.

Nice to have

• Experience with Avionics regulatory and certification requirements and processes.
• Experience with RTCA/FAA DO-160/DO-178 Standards and an understanding of their application in safety-critical avionics systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team through the full software development cycle in a regulated industry, preferably with experience in avionics software projects.
