Overview
Principal Engineer role (SVP C14) in Compliance Technology / Enterprise Technology, focused on hands-on technical leadership for next-generation enterprise platforms, simplification, and optimization initiatives.
What you'll do
- Serve as primary technical authority for your domain with hands-on development and deep code reviews.
- Architect and build agentic workflows and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
- Integrate LLMs securely at scale using the internal R2D2 GenAI gateway.
- Design resilient, low-latency, fault-tolerant distributed and microservices-based systems.
- Define event-driven architectures and API standards for high-scale transaction screening.
- Unify data collection, processing, and reporting; architect real-time and batch pipelines.
- Drive DevEx practices including inner-sourcing, automated testing, observability, and CI/CD adoption.
What you'll need
- 12+ years of professional software engineering experience in Principal/Sr. Staff/Staff engineering with technical leadership in product-engineering led setups.
- Expertise designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed enterprise systems in hybrid or public cloud (AWS/GCP/OpenShift).
- Hands-on backend and frontend proficiency (Go/Java/Python and React/Angular).
- Experience building high-throughput data pipelines (Kafka, Spark, or Flink) and managing large-scale data storage/retrieval.
- Practical experience integrating GenAI/LLMs into production applications (prompt engineering, RAG, vector search).
- Education requirement of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
