Principle Data Engineer

Overview

Lead technical consulting and delivery for clinical systems software and data/reporting needs within the elluminate platform.

What you'll do

• Lead consulting efforts related to clinical systems software.
• Design and develop reporting programs as needed.
• Provide programming support and quality control for system configuration and data extracts.
• Manage/mentor technical resources to deliver client services.
• Provide training services for internal and external users as needed.
• Ensure compliance with eClinical and industry quality standards and procedures.
• Work with sales teams on staffing and project delivery services.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of professional experience in services or senior consulting (preferably).
• 8+ years of database design and development experience.
• Proficiency in SQL (including T-SQL, PL/SQL) or alternatives such as R, Python, or SAS.
• Experience with data warehouse architecture, design, and development.
• Experience with multiple database platforms including Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, and DB2.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically MS Project and MS Excel.

Nice to have

• Prior experience leading technical teams.
• Knowledge of clinical trial data standards (CDISC ODM, SDTM, or ADAM).
• Experience in Life Sciences/CRO or clinical trial regulated environments.
• Experience with regulatory computer system validation.
• Strong familiarity with EDC systems such as Rave, Trial Master, InForm, or Oracle Clinical.
