Private Market & Alternatives Operations, Tech and Ops, Associate

Overview

Associate role supporting private markets and alternatives operations within Global Client Alternative Services (GCAS) under BlackRock’s Outsourced Platform Services (OPS).

What you'll do

• Support private markets and alternatives operations across reconciliation, settlement, exception management, documentation review, and client service.
• Maintain accurate Investment Book of Record (IBOR) data and uphold control and regulatory compliance standards.
• Investigate and resolve cash, position, and transaction discrepancies with attention to accuracy.
• Facilitate settlement across instruments including syndications, secondary trades, CLOs, restructurings, and related private market instruments.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams, counterparties, and clients to manage operational risk.
• Lead process automation and control enhancement initiatives to improve efficiency and mitigate operational risk.
• Interpret complex legal documentation and translate key provisions into actionable operational insights.

What you'll need

• 5–10 years of experience in loan operations or settlements, reconciliations, and documentation-driven transactions.
• Strong understanding of private credit, real assets, and project finance.
• Proficiency in Excel and related applications; familiarity with loan-centric systems is advantageous.
• Solid knowledge of trading instruments and settlement processes.
• Exceptional communication and client service skills.
• Ability to perform under pressure in high-volume, high-risk environments with minimal margin for error.
• Sound decision-making skills supported by available information and willingness to seek clarification when needed.
