Product Design Lead - Design System

Overview

Lead the design system across multiple products, teams, and platforms by owning component libraries, interaction models, design tokens, and cross-platform consistency.

What you'll do

• Maintain visual standards for layout, typography, colour, spacing, and hierarchy.
• Design and maintain scalable component libraries for product interfaces.
• Define interactive behaviours and state transitions across components.
• Structure and maintain design tokens for consistency between design and code.
• Organize Figma libraries, variants, properties, and components.
• Partner with engineering across Web, React, Flutter, Android, and iOS environments.
• Create usage guidelines and documentation for design system governance.

What you'll need

• Extensive experience building and maintaining production-ready design systems.
• Deep understanding of Web, iOS, and Android platform constraints.
• Portfolio demonstrating scalable systems thinking across multiple products.
• Strong familiarity with how developers consume components in code repositories.
• Advanced Figma knowledge, including libraries, auto-layout, components, variants, variables, and publication.
• Understanding of WCAG, contrast requirements, and inclusive design.
• Familiarity with React, Flutter, and Atomic Design methodology.
