Overview
Work as a Business Analyst supporting capital markets and investment banking projects. The role involves analysing business and functional requirements, managing stakeholders, and working across agile and waterfall project methodologies.
What you'll do
- Operate in both agile and waterfall style project methodologies and understand the deliverables required for each methodology.
- Apply understanding of trade lifecycle, global regulations, and trading and investment banking processes.
- Manage project stakeholders.
- Work with the project manager and business sponsors to scope and analyse the area of analysis.
- Interface with business users on functional issues to analyse and define business and functional requirements.
- Lead business requirement gathering sessions and document requirements to create business requirement specification documents.
- Define testing objectives and liaise with testing teams.
- Use critical thinking to anticipate issues and plan stakeholder elicitation sessions.
What you'll need
- 5 to 8 years of experience.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst with an investment bank.
- Sound understanding of trade lifecycle, global regulations, and trading and investment banking processes.
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- Capital markets Business Analyst experience.
- Trade lifecycle knowledge.
- Good understanding of financial products.
- Process change experience using Agile methodology and tools; Agile methodology is mandatory.
- Domain experience in at least one of the following key business areas: Trade Life Cycle, SDLC, Trade Processing, Regulatory Reporting, Collateral Management, or Derivatives Operations.
- Related industry and product knowledge.
- Communication, data analysis, presentation, process development, MS Office, mastery, issue-based problem solving, root cause analysis, business case, estimation, and scoping skills.
