Project Engineer

Overview

Lead engineering activities for end-to-end distributed control system projects in process industries, covering automation design, programming, testing, commissioning, and service.

What you'll do

• Lead engineering activities across project disciplines.
• Execute basic and detailed automation systems engineering.
• Develop hardware and application programming for automation systems.
• Test, commission, and service automation systems.
• Prepare revamp and retrofit solutions for existing systems.
• Coordinate subsystem requirements with other engineering departments.
• Review technical documents and drawings against customer specifications.

What you'll need

• 5–6 years of relevant experience in automation systems and controls.
• B.Tech, B.E., or Diploma in Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Instrumentation, or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• First Class qualification from a reputed university.
• Knowledge of DCS and PLC hardware and software components.
• Knowledge of application programming and HMI development or modification for PLC/DCS systems.
• Knowledge of communication protocols used between PLCs and drives or in automation.
• Process experience in cement, mining, metals, or pulp and paper.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ABB 800xA, Advant, or Compact HMI automation systems.
