Project Manager

Overview

Lead and oversee the successful execution of projects at Hitachi Energy India Limited, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

What you'll do

• Lead and manage the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure, including planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure phases.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resource allocation, and budget.
• Define and manage project scope, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
• Secure and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize efficiency and achieve project goals.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans and solutions to address potential challenges.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with all project stakeholders, including senior management, team members, clients, and vendors.
• Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and prepare regular status reports.
• Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial targets are met.
• Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement.
• Support business development activities by contributing to proposals and client presentations.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project management, preferably within the energy or infrastructure sectors.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from inception to completion.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, PRINCE2) and tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Nice to have

• A Master's degree.
• PMP or equivalent certification (highly desirable).
• Knowledge of local languages.
