About the Job

We’re seeking a Full-time OnSite Proxmox VE Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain reliable virtualization infrastructure. In this role, you’ll work with Proxmox VE clusters and container platforms (LXC) to deliver secure, scalable environments. You’ll also strengthen virtual networking and implement network security controls to ensure robust communication across systems. The position blends platform engineering with automation—leveraging Ansible, Python, and CI/CD practices (including Jenkins) to streamline operations. You’ll collaborate on hybrid cloud connectivity using Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure, and support modern application delivery workflows using Docker with Kubernetes.

Roles & Responsibilities

Administer and optimize Proxmox VE clusters, ensuring high availability, performance, and stability.
Deploy and manage LXC containers, including lifecycle management, storage planning, and troubleshooting.
Implement and maintain network security controls and virtual networking to secure traffic paths.
Configure and support VPN technologies and connectivity models using TCP/IP fundamentals.
Automate infrastructure and configuration management using Ansible and scripting.
Develop and maintain tooling with Python to support monitoring, verification, and operational workflows.
Support Docker with Kubernetes deployments and align them with platform infrastructure requirements.
Collaborate on cloud integrations with Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure, including networking and access patterns.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, supporting repeatable deployments and change management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with Linux system administration and Proxmox VE operations.
Solid understanding of Networking Protocols: TCP/IP, routing concepts, and secure connectivity.
Practical experience with virtual networking, segmentation, and defense-in-depth approaches.
Working knowledge of LXC containers and containerized workload management.
Familiarity with Network security controls and VPN configuration practices.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including deployment and operational support.
Automation skills with Ansible and scripting in Python.
Exposure to Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure and hybrid networking patterns.
Experience with CI/CD Pipelines, including Jenkins, and an understanding of release governance.
