About the role
We're looking for a proactive Purchase Coordinator or Merchandiser to join our team at our Dahisar East office. You'll be the bridge between our vendors, retail stores, and internal purchase team—managing daily operations, tracking orders, and ensuring smooth coordination across all touchpoints.
What you'll do
- Coordinate daily purchase orders and communications between vendors, stores, and the purchase team
- Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets to track inventory, orders, deliveries, and vendor performance
- Follow up with vendors on order status, delivery timelines, and resolve any discrepancies
- Liaise with store managers to understand requirements and ensure timely fulfillment
- Prepare reports and documentation for the purchase team to support decision-making
- Handle data entry, filing, and administrative tasks related to procurement
What we're looking for
- Freshers with a go-getter attitude are welcome; experience in purchase coordination, merchandising, or supply chain is a plus
- Strong proficiency in Excel (data entry, formulas, pivot tables, basic analysis)
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—to interact with vendors and internal teams
- Sound judgment and common sense in problem-solving and day-to-day decision-making
- Willingness to put in time and effort, take ownership, and learn on the job
Nice to have
- Prior experience in retail, e-commerce, or supply chain operations
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or ERP software
- Knowledge of vendor negotiation or purchase processes
