QA Tech Lead

Overview

Lead the QA and EVT testing effort for a project, owning test planning, team coordination, defect management and quality reporting.

What you'll do

• Write and create test plans covering scope, resources, timelines and methodologies.
• Define the test strategy, choosing between manual and automated testing approaches to maximize coverage.
• Manage the testing environment, ensuring tools, data, and hardware or software environments are ready and available to the team.
• Assign tasks based on individual tester skills and project needs.
• Mentor the team by guiding, training, and supporting engineers to improve overall team performance.
• Monitor progress by overseeing daily testing activities to ensure alignment with delivery milestones and goals.
• Review artifacts by validating the quality of written test cases, scripts, and test data.
• Track bugs by monitoring defect tracking systems, prioritizing issues, and ensuring proper defect review is scheduled.
• Collaborate closely with software developers to expedite bug fixes and resolutions.
• Report status by providing clear quality metrics, risk analyses, and progress reports to project managers.
• Drive optimization by continuously evaluating testing bottlenecks and adopting better practices.

What you'll need

• 10 to 11 years of EVT experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Python.
• Strong hands-on experience in Robot Framework.
• Strong hands-on experience in Karate Framework.
• Strong hands-on experience in PyTest.
• Strong hands-on experience in Selenium.
• Strong hands-on experience in Playwright and/or Appium.
