SDET QA Automation - Backend Python BDD - Assistant Vice President

Overview

Lead technical and business testing team members in preparing for and executing test initiatives for core investment banking testing projects, in a backend Python BDD and QA automation role.

What you'll do

• Lead technical and business testing team members in preparation for and execution of test initiatives in support of core investment banking testing projects.
• Participate in requirements and design reviews with Product, Business Analysts and Development teams to assure the product under development meets requirements and is tested efficiently.
• Perform requirements reviews and traceability analyses to assess test coverage.
• Oversee test execution initiatives, adhering to test schedule and key milestones.
• Evaluate and escalate potential risks and issues that may adversely affect quality, schedule or budget.
• Perform test execution and provide clear and concise test progress reporting reflective of test program status for key stakeholders and executive review.
• Monitor QA activities, test results, defects and root cause analysis, and identify areas needing improvement.
• Recommend and lead continuous improvement initiatives to mature the QA test program, improving team effectiveness and overall quality of products and services.

What you'll need

• Strong understanding of SDLC.
• 8-12 years of Quality Assurance (QA) experience in the Financial Services industry.
• Experience in Agile, BDD and DevOps testing methodologies.
• Strong experience in API testing using various tools.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Working experience of MongoDB and API testing.
• Strong UNIX, Shell, Perl and Python scripting experience.
• Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience driving testing strategy.
• Good business acumen and the ability to connect analytics with business decisions.
• Clearly articulating and documenting technical and functional specifications.

Nice to have

• Good to have hands-on experience in Java and Selenium tools based on BDD/TestNG frameworks.
