Quality Assurance Engineer (Java, Selenium, Github)

Overview

Quality Assurance Engineer on Baker Hughes' Enterprise technology team, testing cloud platform features for energy asset monitoring and optimization to ensure functionality and quality.

What you'll do

• Own medium-sized quality engineering tasks and deliver them while mentoring and helping team members.
• Make technology choices at the individual level and analyze their impact.
• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies such as Lean/Agile/XP, CI, software and product security, scalability, documentation practices, refactoring and testing techniques.
• Integrate project testing with the continuous-integration process.
• Work with fellow team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions.
• Provide expertise in quality engineering, test planning and testing methodology for a software project.
• Develop and execute maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional and regression test cases.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's Degree BE/B.Tech/M.Tech or MCA with minimum 6 years of professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience and ability to write Java code for testing solution code (e.g., white-box testing).
• Good experience in Selenium and GitHub.
• Experience testing web services (SOAP/REST; throughput, performance under load, etc.).
• Experience working with virtual machines (VMs) as part of a test/integration infrastructure.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective team building and problem-solving abilities.
• Persists to completion, especially in the face of overwhelming odds and setbacks.
• Pushes self for results and pushes others for results through team spirit.
