Quality Platform Engineer

Overview

As a Quality Platform Engineer at OnePay, you will build the internal testing tooling that helps every engineering team ship confidently to production on a consumer financial platform.

What you'll do

• Design and own shared automation frameworks used by engineering teams across web, mobile, and backend services.
• Build and maintain infrastructure that runs automated suites reliably at scale, including flaky-test detection and triage tooling.
• Partner with engineering teams to raise coverage and testing maturity, embedding quality practices into the development workflow.
• Develop platform capabilities for test environment provisioning, data management, and parallelized execution to keep feedback loops fast.
• Define quality standards, provide observability (coverage, pass rates, run times), and maintain documentation and best practices to help engineers write and maintain effective automated tests.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of professional experience in frontend, backend, or platform engineering with a strong testing focus.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js or similar languages, with experience architecting test frameworks rather than just writing test cases.
• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure (Kubernetes, AWS) and containerized test environments.
• Familiarity with testing across the stack: API/integration testing, and end-to-end testing for web and mobile (e.g., React Native).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to influence testing practices across multiple engineering teams.
• Drive and proactivity.
