Overview
The Sr. Systems Associate supports the planning, design, coordination, implementation, and maintenance of Electronic Security Systems (ESS) and related subsystems. The role supports security assessments, compliance, lifecycle management, incident triage, system reliability, and technology deployments under the guidance of the Sr. Manager – Security Systems Solutions Engineering.
What you'll do
- Act as an Application Technology Contact (ATC) to support Technical Security Assessments (TSAs), Cyber Security controls, and audit requirements, including user validation and transfer report reviews, exception requests and closeout, product change documentation, and risk remediation.
- Coordinate and facilitate testing, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of GSS ESS and subsystem platforms.
- Review software and hardware architecture, remediate risks, and support development-to-production environments.
- Remediate compliance findings involving software code, scripts, and technology changes.
- Provide timely and effective triage of critical incidents affecting ESS, subsystems, and integrations, including patching failures, driver errors, system errors, and outages.
- Identify complex network issues related to ESS hardware connections to primary and secondary Ethernet infrastructure, including routing, tunnels, bridges, proxies, and NATs.
- Implement solutions for network and system problems.
- Configure servers, services, and selected data feeds such as SSH, SFTP, HTTP, SMB, and certificates.
- Support the rollout, testing, and maintenance of new or updated technology solutions.
- Prepare design and engineering documentation and other artifacts needed for systems onboarding and Technical Security Assessments.
- Assist with software and hardware lifecycle management, patching, version updates, programming, and scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Perform other duties as required and directed by the Senior Manager and Manager of Security Systems Solution Engineering.
What you'll need
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
- An Associate degree or Certificate in Computer Science or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in systems analysis, enterprise application support, cross-functional IT operations, and Technical Business Analysis (TBA).
- Fundamental experience with program, project, and release management and engineering.
- Fundamental experience with deployment management for production and non-production systems in a multi-site global organization.
- Proficiency in diagnosing recurring system issues, identifying process inefficiencies, evaluating competing solutions, and making data-backed recommendations.
- Proficient understanding of high-availability networking load-balanced solutions, n-tier application environments, and common application protocols.
- Experience with vulnerability remediation processes, including vulnerability assessment and patch management.
- Experience with release management, particularly CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, and test automation.
- Familiarity with application monitoring techniques and centralized log management tools.
- Experience with ServiceNow for incident resolution and change management.
- Ability to provide risk management decisions balancing a low tolerance for risk with the need to deliver complex business solutions.
- Fluent English written and verbal language skills at a business level.

Nice to have
- Understanding of applied cryptography and exposure to HSM nCipher and/or payShield integrations.
- Good knowledge and experience using database technologies such as MS-SQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and using tools such as Postman or Bruno for API testing.
- Basic understanding of OAuth, OIDC, SAML, and 2FA/MFA solutions.
- Familiarity with any of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, PowerShell, F5 Load Balancers, Nginx, Grafana, ClickHouse, Apache, Jira, and Confluence.
