Sanctions Investigations Analyst

Overview

Sanctions Investigations Analyst for Payoneer’s Global Sanctions and Screening (GSS) team. You will review and investigate sanctions-related alerts and potential high-risk matters under supervision.

What you'll do

• Review and investigate sanctions alerts, escalations, and other potentially high-risk matters per established procedures.
• Research customers, counterparties, transactions, ownership structures, and related parties to identify sanctions risk indicators.
• Analyze information, identify gaps or inconsistencies, and request additional information to resolve cases.
• Document investigative steps, findings, and rationale in an audit-ready manner.
• Prepare concise case summaries and proposed dispositions for review by senior team members.
• Escalate potential sanctions concerns and matters requiring senior review or guidance.

What you'll need

• 1-3 years of experience in sanctions compliance, financial crime compliance, investigations, KYC, AML, risk management, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of sanctions regulations and regimes, particularly U.S. (OFAC), EU, and UK sanctions frameworks.
• Strong analytical and research skills to assess customer, transactional, ownership, and related-party information.
• Sound judgment to recognize when escalation or further guidance is needed.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills to summarize facts and document findings accurately.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems and investigative tools quickly.
