SAP HCM Developer Consultant

Overview

Support the development, enhancement and maintenance of SAP HCM solutions as part of the HR Technology team, with a focus on ABAP development, Personnel Administration and Payroll.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test and support SAP HCM applications and custom developments using ABAP and ABAP Objects (OO ABAP).
• Develop and maintain complex ALV reports utilizing Personnel Administration (PA) info types and Payroll data.
• Analyse, read and interpret payroll results, payroll clusters and wage type data to support business and reporting requirements.
• Build custom reports, enhancements and solutions leveraging SAP HCM Personnel Administration and Payroll modules.
• Support payroll posting processes to Finance (FI) by analysing payroll posting results and resolving related issues.
• Develop and expose business logic through OData services, APIs and other service-based integrations.
• Design, develop and maintain interfaces using IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs and file-based integrations (XML/CSV).
• Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, perform root-cause analysis and implement sustainable fixes.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, functional specifications and support procedures.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while delivering pragmatic, solution-oriented outcomes.

What you'll need

• Experience: 5–7 years.
• Strong ABAP development expertise.
• Hands-on experience with Personnel Administration and Payroll modules.
• Ability to build scalable integrations and reporting solutions that support HR and payroll operations.
