Overview
The IT Security Specialist will assist in developing and delivering SAP security solutions across SAP applications, protecting application data from internal or external misuse.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain the company’s SAP user management and security architecture across SAP environments.
- Design and build SAP security roles across complex SAP applications and databases.
- Configure SAP GRC Access Control and Process Control.
- Analyze risks associated with application security exposures and provide solutions to eliminate or reduce them.
- Maintain and monitor compliance with the SAP IT security framework and global IT control environment.
- Uphold government and corporate security guidelines, including segregation of duties (SOD), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and privacy-related standards such as GDPR.
- Develop and implement SAP security policies, processes, architecture, training, and communications.
- Identify and implement security solutions and proactively remediate vulnerabilities with existing solutions.
- Work with solution architects and business process owners to translate business requirements into SAP security design.
- Assist with periodic control activities, including regular user access reviews, critical role reviews, and annual IT control testing support.
- Monitor and maintain SAP user IDs across non-production and production landscapes.
- Develop and deliver documentation and training as needed to ensure proper system usage and understanding.
What you'll need
- Strong understanding of information security management principles.
- Strong understanding of SAP application security implementation methodologies.
- Strong understanding of SAP user and role management tools, such as CUA and/or IDM.
- 5+ years of experience with SAP GRC Access Control.
- 5+ years of experience with SAP security across applications including, but not limited to, S/4 HANA, ECC, BW, MDG, TM, GTS, Fiori, PI, and Solution Manager.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with SAP security development lifecycle management.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with SOD conflict resolution.
- Understanding of SAP Cloud security.
- Good working experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a technology-related discipline.
- Fluent in English.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of HANA database role configuration and user administration.
- Experience in the chemical manufacturing or mining industry.
- Future-focused and willingness to embrace new SAP technologies.
- Familiarity with an international and multi-cultural environment.
- Spanish, German, or Chinese would be beneficial but is not required.
