SCRAT-Detection Engineering- AVP

Overview

Serve as a Threat Detection and Response Engineer in a Security Operations Center, developing and implementing detection and response use cases aligned with the MITRE ATT&CK Framework and cyber security kill chain.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, Forensics, and Security Operations teams.
• Develop custom security use cases based on the MITRE ATT&CK Framework.
• Design and execute detection and response strategies using security tools.
• Analyze attack patterns, tactics, techniques, and cyber threats.
• Track emerging attack vectors and update detection strategies.
• Participate in red teaming and penetration testing exercises.
• Report use-case effectiveness metrics to leadership and cross-functional teams.

What you'll need

• 5–8 years of experience in Information Security or Information Technology.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of the Cyber Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks.
• Experience with security monitoring, investigation, and incident response.
• Experience with tools including EnCase, FTK, SIFT, Splunk, Redline, Volatility, Wireshark, and tcpdump.
• Understanding of offensive security and common attack methods.
• Experience with cloud, network, operating system, database, application, and mobile device security.

Nice to have

• CISSP, ISSMP, SANS, GSEC, GCFA, GNFA, GIAC, or GCIH certification.
• Experience in the Financial Services Industry.
