Security Analyst

Overview

Security Analyst role at a Level 1 Cyber Defense Operations Center (CDOC), focused on monitoring and improving threat detection and incident response using SIEM/SOAR.

What you'll do

• Monitor security solutions and perform daily security monitoring and alert triage.
• Coordinate incident response and handle triage of security incidents.
• Escalate to L2/L3 for high and critical incidents.
• Enhance SIEM/SOAR/XDR alert use cases and threat detection capabilities.
• Research emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.
• Maintain incident records, contribute to reporting, and support audit readiness.
• Update SOPs and share knowledge on new findings and best practices within the SOC.

What you'll need

• 2-4 years of total SOC experience in a large multi-national organization or known MSSP.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM/SOAR/XDR tools such as Google Chronicle, CrowdStrike, Logscale, or Splunk.
• Working knowledge of endpoint security tools including EDR (CrowdStrike, Defender, Cortex), DLP, and MDM.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, and cyber kill chain concepts.
• Understanding of network security, operating systems, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Familiarity with compliance standards such as NIST CSF and ISO 27001.
