Security Engineer II (AI)

Overview

Security Engineer II (AI) to assess and secure AI usage across SIXT by defining safe AI practices, building detections/controls, and responding to AI security incidents.

What you'll do

• Assess AI tools and AI-built applications to identify security risks and share actionable findings with stakeholders.
• Author remediation policies for AI usage boundaries and automate enforcement.
• Partner with teams building AI-powered tools to steer toward more secure approaches and risk-based acceptance decisions.
• Define baseline “healthy” AI usage and track progress through KPIs.
• Respond to AI-related security incidents and improve/automate AI governance controls.
• Coordinate with Security, Legal, and Data Protection to align AI usage with EU AI Act and GDPR obligations.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in security engineering.
• Experience running pragmatic security assessments and translating risk patterns into rules and remediation.
• Knowledge of AI-specific threats including prompt injection and agentic/tool-use risks, plus AI architectures like LLMs and RAG.
• Practical experience applying a structured security risk-assessment methodology such as CVSS.
• Strong written communication skills to make findings and decisions actionable.
