Security Sales Engineer

Overview

Security Sales Engineer role in the Enterprise sales engineering team focused on driving security solution adoption and supporting the sales cycle with technical expertise.

What you'll do

• Support the Enterprise Security Sales team in driving adoption within target strategic accounts.
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify and understand security requirements for enterprise customers.
• Deliver detailed product demonstrations and presentations of Datadog security capabilities.
• Provide technical expertise throughout the sales cycle, including customer evaluations and proof-of-value.
• Maintain deep understanding of Datadog security products, industry trends, and vulnerabilities.
• Assist in creating technical proposals, documentation, and sales materials.
• Relay customer feedback to product management and engineering teams.
• Participate in industry events, conferences, and webinars to promote security solutions.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Deep experience with SIEM platforms and detection pipelines.
• Experience with SOC workflows including alert triage, investigation, and response.
• Experience with endpoint security technologies (EDR/MDR) and deployment/tuning of controls in customer environments.
• Expert knowledge of developer and DevOps ecosystems and application security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms AWS, Azure, and GCP and related security tools.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% for customer meetings and industry events.
