Senior AI Applied Software Engineer

Overview

Senior Applied AI Software Engineer designing and delivering complex AI-enabled digital banking product capabilities with minimal guidance, spanning UI, APIs, services and data pipelines in a T-shaped full-stack role.

What you'll do

• Design and deliver complex features with minimal guidance, ensuring both backend and frontend are performant, secure and scalable.
• Lead the full SDLC of digital banking products, from initial idea and architectural design to release and maintenance.
• Improve system architecture and design components that integrate smoothly across APIs and microservices.
• Act as a go-to technical resource for the team, mentoring junior engineers, conducting critical code reviews and raising engineering standards.
• Contribute to the evolution of LLM-based voice assistants and real-time personalization engines using OpenAI and ML models.
• Implement Entitlements and fraud prevention services with a focus on security, scalability and resilience.
• Collaborate in a Pod-based model with Architects, Product Owners and UX Designers to align technical solutions with business needs.

What you'll need

• 5–7+ years of professional experience building complex, high-traffic products.
• Solid understanding of Java, Spring JPA/Hibernate and Maven.
• Experience with Microservices and Cloud technologies.
• Strong skills in Angular and TypeScript.
• Proficient with RxJS and modern build systems (Webpack, Jenkins).
• Solid grasp of Enterprise Integration Patterns and designing systems that handle complex data flows between services.
• Ability to identify gaps in tooling, reduce technical debt and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline delivery.
• Excellent English (spoken and written), able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and get buy-in for architectural decisions.

Nice to have

• Netflix OSS experience.
• Experience with Vue.js.
• Previous experience in Fintech or Banking.
