Senior AI Engineer

Overview

Senior AI Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and deploying production-grade AI solutions across Danaher operating companies. The role focuses on scalable AI applications, agents, services, and reusable enterprise capabilities.

What you'll do

• Design and deploy scalable AI services, workflows, and reusable capabilities.
• Develop and optimise LLM applications using prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, and agentic workflows.
• Implement MLOps, DataOps, and LLMOps for lifecycle management, monitoring, governance, and improvement.
• Design reliable and maintainable AI architectures meeting quality, performance, security, and supportability standards.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, AI science, platform, and data engineering teams.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience building AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics solutions.
• Strong proficiency in Python and modern AI development frameworks and tooling.
• Experience deploying and supporting production-grade solutions in cloud environments.
• Understanding of software engineering practices, APIs, microservices, CI/CD, and cloud-native development.
• Understanding of LLMs, semantic models, knowledge and context graphs, RAG, and agentic AI architectures.

Nice to have

• Experience building AI solutions in regulated industries.
• Experience supporting knowledge extraction, decision support, process optimisation, or workflow automation.
• Experience with Enterprise AI governance and Responsible AI practices.
