Senior AI Engineer – Agentic Platform

Overview

Senior AI Engineer to build and scale an Agentic Platform (an MCP-native, headless intelligence layer) behind Amtech AI Intelligence.

What you'll do

• Design business logic that works across UI, AI agents, and automated jobs.
• Expose Amtech capabilities as MCP-described tools callable by AI models.
• Build and maintain an LLM orchestration layer for safe, governed, tool-using actions.
• Implement and extend agent workflows using LangChain/LangGraph and MCP.
• Build and tune RAG pipelines to ground agent responses in Amtech data.
• Develop governed on-prem data access and ensure actions pass approval gates with an audit trail.
• Deploy agents and inference endpoints on AWS with monitoring, cost controls, and evals.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years building production systems with LLMs.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Practical experience with prompt engineering, tool/function calling, and agent frameworks (LangChain/LangGraph).
• Experience integrating at least one major LLM provider API (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, or AWS Bedrock).
• Hands-on AWS experience deploying/operating production workloads (e.g., Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Experience with real-time and batch model inference, optimizing latency, throughput, and cost.
• Experience building/consuming RAG pipelines and working with vector databases.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar agent-tool integration standards.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployment.
• ERP/MES or other industrial/manufacturing data environment experience.
• Familiarity with performance monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
