Senior Analyst - US Indirect Taxation

Overview

Join WPP's newly forming US Indirect Taxes Center of Excellence to prepare US indirect tax filings and support all US subsidiaries, while helping implement new technology and improve processes.

What you'll do

• Prepare all US indirect tax filings, including sales & use tax, gross receipts tax, personal property and Commercial Rent.
• Provide excellent service to multiple US companies.
• Work with local Finance teams to build an Indirect Tax calendar of filings, obtain prior year filings and workpapers, and build a new database of logins and passwords.
• Be responsible for monthly accruals and reconciliation of indirect tax accounts.
• Handle and respond to notices and assist with tax audits, including analyzing transactions for auditor inquiries and gathering requested data.
• Assist the Indirect Tax Manager to determine economic nexus and required registrations for all US companies.
• Collaborate with 3rd party vendors and technology teams in the implementation of a tax engine.
• Multitask and take on ad-hoc projects as needed.

What you'll need

• A minimum of two years of Big 4 experience in indirect tax compliance and tax.
• Prior Indirect Tax compliance experience using tax software.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent writing and communication skills in English.
• An experienced problem solver.
