Senior Application Developer

Overview

Design, develop and improve software that provides business, platform and technology capabilities for customers and colleagues, acting as a Product Owner to drive digital product evolution.

What you'll do

• Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks and tools.
• Ensure code is scalable, maintainable and optimized for performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaborate with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities.
• Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability and reliability.
• Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management, on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
• Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
• Seek out, build and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish key business objectives.

What you'll need

• Corporate Payments and Bulk Payment Processing expertise.
• Agile Product Ownership, Backlog Management and PI Planning.
• Stakeholder Management and Requirements Definition.
• Technical understanding of APIs, Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture and Payment Platforms.

Nice to have

• ISO 20022, SWIFT, CHAPS, SEPA, ACH and RTGS knowledge.
• Data-driven Product Management and OKR ownership.
• Payments Risk, Controls and Regulatory Compliance experience.
• Payment Platform Transformation and Cloud Modernisation experience.
