Senior - Application Developer (Archer)

Overview

The Senior Application Developer builds, maintains and configures applications to ensure business needs are met, specializing in an application domain and collaborating with partner application teams that use technologies such as Java, COBOL, Angular, Salesforce, MuleSoft, .NET, Informatica, SQL, iOS and Android.

What you'll do

• Manage implementation of technology solutions using the software development lifecycle to enhance applications.
• Validate requirements converted into technical designs and application code.
• Lead design specifications, including interfaces and outputs.
• Ensure quality checks of application code and configurations based on these specifications.
• Offer technical on-call support as needed (30%).
• Develop and enhance applications by translating requirements into technical designs and code, creating design specifications, writing and configuring application code, and executing unit tests (25%).
• Remediate errors, review code quality, and enforce coding standards.
• Estimate work and improve applications and processes for quality and efficiency.
• Provide peer coaching and feedback formally and informally, and request and utilize feedback for personal development (20%).
• Cultivate relationships across roles and organizations to maximize collaboration, partnership, and efficiency.
• Work primarily autonomously while demonstrating business knowledge within the general financial services and marketing domains, and influence the team to achieve desired business outcomes (25%).

What you'll need

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 1 cloud certification: AWS Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, or Google Cloud Digital Leader.
• 5-8 years of programming language experience (e.g. COBOL, Java).

Nice to have

• 8+ years of experience in evaluating and improving code quality and standards.
