Senior Application Security engineer

Overview

Support the application security program across web platforms and integrated AI/LLM systems by assessing risks, managing findings, and coordinating remediation with engineering teams.

What you'll do

• Participate in threat modeling for application and AI-driven architectures.
• Triage SCA, SAST, DAST, and CSPM findings.
• Support vulnerability management for networks and infrastructure.
• Coordinate timely remediation of security findings with engineering teams.
• Perform security assessments, reviews, and internal penetration tests.
• Develop scripts and tools for log analysis, patch management, and incident detection.
• Integrate security tools with existing systems using Python, JavaScript, or Go.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of application security experience.
• Experience with threat modeling, secure design reviews, code reviews, or penetration testing.
• BS or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in coding or scripting languages such as Python or Go.
• Web application penetration testing experience.
• AWS security and engineering knowledge and experience.
• Experience developing or testing web application technologies.

Nice to have

• Security certifications such as OSCP, OSWP, eCPPT, eWPT, or Security+.
• Experience with Linux, Docker, Terraform, or REST APIs.

Details

• Remote-first role in Ireland.
• Annual gross fixed pay: €84,000–€105,000 plus variable compensation.
