Senior Associate – AI/ML Engineer, Advisory

Overview

Senior Associate role in PwC's Data, Analytics & AI specialism, focused on shaping and leading AI/ML initiatives, including LLM and GenAI solutions for clients.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement innovative AI/ML and LLM solutions to optimise business performance and enhance competitive advantage.
• Create low-level design (LLD) for the provided architecture.
• Build and deploy LLM-based applications such as chatbots, recommendation systems and translation services.
• Optimise LLMs for performance and security, including quantization and knowledge distillation.
• Implement RAG systems, vector databases and semantic search.
• Apply MLOps practices for model deployment, monitoring and automated retraining.
• Work with data pipelines and big data processing using Spark for large-scale analytics.

What you'll need

• Bachelor of Engineering or Master of Engineering (B.Tech / M.Tech / MCA / MBA listed in education qualification).
• 4-8 years of total and relevant experience in AI/ML or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Python.
• Extensive experience with LLM frameworks (Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain) and prompt engineering techniques.
• Experience with big data processing using Spark.
• Version control and experiment tracking using Git and MLflow.
• Expertise in microservices, test-driven development and concurrency processing.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and container orchestration (Kubernetes) with Helm and service mesh implementations.
• Proficiency in LLM serving platforms such as vLLM and FastAPI, model quantization techniques and vector database management.
• Experience with containerization strategies for ML workloads and model serving tools such as TorchServe or TF Serving.
• Strong grasp of advanced cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and network security for ML systems.
• Knowledge of machine learning frameworks (Hugging Face, TensorFlow, PyTorch), SQL and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Experience working in microservices-based architecture.
• Deep understanding of the ML and LLM development lifecycle, including fine-tuning and evaluation.
• Expertise in feature engineering, embedding optimization and dimensionality reduction.
• Advanced knowledge of A/B testing, experimental design and statistical hypothesis testing.
• Experience with RAG systems, vector databases and semantic search implementation.
• Understanding of MLOps practices for model deployment and monitoring.
• Required skills: Spark, SQL.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Go or Rust.
• Prior experience in industries leveraging AI/ML technologies.
• Preferred skill sets: AI/ML, Machine Learning, GenAI, Agentic AI.
