Senior Associate – Snowflake Data Engineer, Advisory

Overview

Senior Associate Snowflake Data Engineer in PwC's Advisory line of service, Data, Analytics & AI specialism. The role supports the development of the Execution Services data platform within Enterprise Snowflake, aligned with the Enterprise Data Mesh strategy.

What you'll do

• Consult with internal business groups to provide appropriate application software development services or technical support.
• Analyze, define and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, and internal and external checks, controls and outputs using the standard development methodology.
• Work with internal business groups on implementation opportunities, challenges and requirements of various applications.
• Analyze information and provide recommendations to address and resolve business issues for a specific business group.
• Contribute to defining time tables and project plans.
• Analyze and estimate feasibility, cost, time and compatibility with hardware and other programs.
• Take the lead in establishing, implementing and monitoring best practices for technical development methodologies and tools.
• Propose innovative, creative technology solutions.
• Contribute to the achievement of area objectives.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• 8-10 years of experience in software development.
• Snowflake.
• Airflow.
• DBT.
• Python.
• Strong database fundamentals.

Nice to have

• Experience in the securities or financial services industry.
• Java.
