Overview
Senior Business Intelligence Engineer bridging scalable data architecture, advanced analytics, and actionable business intelligence on the FOX Data Platform Team.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain high-impact data analytics solutions and data applications using SQL/Python and business-facing AI applications.
- Work with batch/streaming pipeline knowledge to debug data flows and build dimensional data models in Snowflake/Databricks.
- Implement governance, code management, and CI/CD using GitHub, including workspace permissioning and environment segregation.
- Set up data quality, audit, and monitoring controls to ensure metric consistency, accuracy, and performance across BI assets.
- Collaborate with business leaders, analysts, and engineers to define core metrics and build semantic layers.
- Maintain technical documentation such as data flow diagrams, design specs, and metric definitions for self-service analytics.
What you'll need
- 4+ years of hands-on experience across data engineering, business intelligence, or analytics engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a relevant field.
- Proven experience building reports, data applications, or interactive notebooks in platforms like Databricks and Snowflake.
- Strong proficiency with GitHub or Git-based workflows for version history and code reviews.
- Expertise in advanced SQL, query tuning, and dimensional modeling in cloud environments like Snowflake or Databricks.
- Intermediate to advanced Python proficiency (e.g., Pandas, PySpark) for data manipulation and automated workflows.
- Deep understanding of data ingestion and ETL/ELT pipelines (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Fivetran) with data lineage tracing.
