Job description

Overview

Senior Cloud Engineer on the Webex Data Analytics Platform (WAP) engineering team, responsible for the availability, performance and reliability of the collaboration group's large-scale data infrastructure services.

What you'll do

  • Build, deploy, and maintain applications in public, private, and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
  • Automate wherever possible so infrastructure and platforms scale effortlessly.
  • Participate in and contribute to improving the 24x7 incident response and on-call rotation.
  • Perform capacity planning for infrastructure and platform services to help teams prepare for growth.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues across infrastructure and platform services.
  • Implement observability solutions including monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing.
  • Contribute to infrastructure security hardening and compliance initiatives.
  • Work closely with application development teams to ensure infrastructure reliability and performance.

What you'll need

  • At least 8+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering role.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi.
  • Strong experience with public and private cloud providers like AWS, OpenStack.
  • Experience with orchestration and management tools: Kubernetes, Docker, Helm.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Harness.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch).
  • Familiarity using AI tools for debugging and development (CoPilot, Cursor, Codex).
  • Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Cilium).
  • Knowledge of secrets management tools (HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager).
  • Experience with database administration (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch).
  • Familiarity with event streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis).
