Senior Consultant - Cash

Overview

Senior Consultant in Cash within Hedge Fund Services, responsible for fund accounting close, financial reporting and client and auditor interaction, with team development and subject-matter consulting.

What you'll do

• Review monthly fund and business entity closing summaries.
• Report and analyze financial data to be disseminated to clients and their investors.
• Close monthly books and records of the funds to general final performance figures.
• Interact with clients and other Hedge Fund Services teams to obtain understanding of funds' activities.
• Prepare financial statements for funds.
• Work directly with external auditors to ensure accuracy of each fund's annual financial statements.
• Assist in building a high-performance team through learning, development, mentoring and recruiting.
• Operate independently with in-depth knowledge of business unit / function.
• Act as subject area expert, providing comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level.
• Carry out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult.
• Balance high level operational execution with development and execution of strategic direction of business function activities.
• Be strategic in developing, implementing and administering programs within functional areas.

What you'll need

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• In-depth functional / industry knowledge.
• Highly flexible and adaptable to change.
• Technical skills / systems knowledge (e.g. PeopleSoft).

Nice to have

• A college or university degree and/or relevant proven work experience.
• Related industry qualification (e.g. ACCA).
