Senior Data Engineer

Overview

Senior Data Engineer responsible for building large-scale data solutions and leading technical design, delivery, and engineering practices for AI-enabled applications and client platforms.

What you'll do

• Design and implement pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Write production-quality code with unit and integration tests.
• Review code, test cases, technical designs, and estimates.
• Troubleshoot production issues and monitor pipeline health, data quality, and performance.
• Lead architecture, technical discovery, and design reviews for AI-enabled solutions.
• Drive delivery of enterprise software and engineering roadmaps.
• Coach junior engineers and contribute to agile planning and improvement activities.

What you'll need

• 5+ years designing and implementing end-to-end data solutions.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines for large data volumes.
• Knowledge of data warehousing and data modelling.
• Hands-on experience with BigQuery, Airflow or Argo Workflows, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub or equivalents.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, GNU/Linux, and Bash.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Exposure to data quality, observability, or governance practices.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and working across time zones.

Details

• Location: Hyderabad.
• Periodic ETL support may be required outside standard Hyderabad business hours.
