Overview
Senior Data Engineer role in Bangalore focused on building scalable data pipelines and platforms to support decision-making, reporting, and analytics.
What you'll do
- Design and develop reliable, scalable data pipelines and data platforms with test coverage.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into technical implementations.
- Drive continuous improvement in team delivery and product outcomes.
- Mentor and provide technical assistance to team members, including junior engineers.
- Provide technical governance of product delivery to support adoption.
- Deliver data engineering solutions across data design, preparation, transformation, and load.
- Build pipelines across distributed platforms including warehouses, databases, data lakes, and cloud lakehouses.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering in large-scale, data-intensive environments.
- Hands-on skills with Hadoop, Spark, Scala/Python, Hive, and SQL.
- Experience with AWS and listed services including EC2, S3, Lambda, Athena, Kinesis, Redshift, Glue, EMR, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch.
- Advanced SQL with experience in writing efficient queries and performance tuning.
- Experience designing and managing data orchestration workflows using Apache Airflow.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline development, automation, and deployment of production-grade code.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD) concepts.
