Senior Data Engineer- Managed services

Overview

Senior Data Engineer for Telefonica Tech’s Managed Services team, focused on designing and provisioning Azure infrastructure for customer cloud workloads and supporting production delivery with DevOps.

What you'll do

• Architect and provision Azure infrastructure for workloads including data analytics platforms.
• Deploy and maintain Azure DevOps for Azure platform delivery and production support.
• Apply new Azure technology developments to customers’ scenarios.
• Influence solution architecture to ensure supportability, including input into delivery frameworks and processes.
• Transfer and retain technical knowledge.
• Serve as a technical point of escalation for the managed service delivered to clients.
• Collaborate on and improve internal processes and mentor the wider managed service team.

What you'll need

• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Power BI, SQL Server, and/or Databricks.
• Demonstrable understanding of SQL and querying.
• Experience with Python/PySpark.
• Enterprise-level cloud and infrastructure practices with an interest in application delivery.
• Attention to detail and focus on continual improvement.
• Strong written and spoken English and interpersonal skills.

• Location: Pune, MH, India.
• Customer-facing role with daily work with customers.
• Occasional work outside normal office hours; can be remotely from home.
