Senior Engineer (Level 1)

Overview

Senior Engineer (Level 1) role focused on designing and developing real-time embedded software/firmware and PC/mobile software applications.

What you'll do

• Design and develop real-time embedded software/firmware and PC/mobile based software applications.
• Analyze domain specific technical or low level requirements and modifications as per end customer or system requirement, and participate in software design.
• Perform software testing including unit, functional and system level testing, both manual and automated.
• Document technical deliverables such as software specifications, design documents, code commenting, test cases, test reports and release notes throughout the project life cycle.
• Develop software solutions from established programming languages or by learning new languages required for specific projects.

What you'll need

• Typically requires 5-7 years of related experience with a 4 year degree; or 3 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent work experience.
• Strong knowledge of Linux device drivers, Linux Kernel Programming, Linux Kernel Internals, and Yocto / Buildroot or any other build systems.
• Experience working with development tools like oscilloscope, protocol analyser, emulator, signal generator, JTAG programmer, GIT, SVN, and JIRA.
• Experience working with embedded microprocessors based on Qualcomm, TI, NXP, NVIDIA, Intel or similar.
• Experience of Board support package, Device driver and boot loader development/porting.
• Understanding of hardware schematics and hardware component datasheets to derive firmware/software specific solutions.
• Strong sense of ownership, passionate, fast learner, analytical mindset, perfection seeker.
