Senior Engineer, Systems Design Engineering

Overview

Senior Engineer focused on system design understanding for hard disk drive (HDD) and drive integration, including investigating HDD failures and supporting product qualification through to field operations.

What you'll do

• Analyze and share verbal and written status, including status updates and test reports.
• Support drive integration reviews and technical discussions.
• Identify drive integration issues and propose immediate next-step actions.
• Investigate and determine root causes of HDD failures.
• Participate in product qualification, manufacturing, and field operations tasks.
• Recommend and implement technical solutions while considering trade-offs.
• Document and publish technical documentation for general consumption.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering discipline.
• Ability to read basic schematics and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Comfortable with structured troubleshooting steps and lab/factory environments.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and TCL.
