Senior Full-Stack Engineer - Trading API

Overview

Senior Full-Stack Engineer for Alpaca’s Trading API team, building and maintaining full-stack systems for trading dashboards and backend services.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain systems and services foundational to Alpaca.
• Deliver user experience and product development for Trading API customers.
• Build end-to-end solutions across frontend trading dashboards and backend systems.
• Contribute to API design and product features for Trading API.
• Own delivery of high-visibility features from design through deployment.
• Mentor peers and influence technical strategy.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience with Golang and TypeScript/React.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and React.
• Proficiency in HTML and CSS with TailwindCSS.
• Proficiency in at least one modern systems language such as Golang or C#.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Experience with REST APIs and best practices.
• Ability to collect and translate stakeholder requirements into features.

Nice to have

• Algo trading experience (professional or personal).
• Experience with major cloud platforms (primarily GCP).
• Experience or understanding of financial markets.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working at a startup.
• Experience working remotely.
