Overview
Lead global facilities engineering for manufacturing sites, applying civil and structural technical mastery to enable business results, drive engineering decisions, and build technical capability across a diverse organization.
What you'll do
- Own governance and business processes for due diligence for land and/or building acquisitions.
- Drive business solutions through technical mastery.
- Lead site master planning, including layouts, utilities, logistics, and all people and material flows.
- Communicate and take personal ownership with all levels within P&G.
- Lead programs in Facilities and Utilities and learn areas not covered by previous university education or experience.
- Lead project phases including feasibility, conceptual, definition, detail design, construction, and startup.
- Act as the single project owner for structural, civil, architectural, thermal, utilities, power, fire protection, and water systems.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Health/Safety/Environment, Quality Assurance, local authorities, external contractors, and other project teams.
- Manage technical input to multiple projects and tasks simultaneously across multiple regions.
- Collaborate across disciplines, external contractors, and regions while balancing priorities and delivering commitments.
- Communicate with engineering leadership and adjust messages in real time to support business decisions.
- Work independently, manage priorities without direct supervision, and lead and influence Facilities Engineers, manufacturing-site Engineers, outside engineering professionals, and construction contractors.
- Optimize P&G Standards and Requirements with industry norms and local means and methods to develop Best Value Systems and Solutions.
- Develop a Foundational Systems Management Program using data, results, and other information for intelligent interpretation and predictive analysis.
- Implement data and analytics tools and systems that enable sites to make proactive business decisions and report to leadership.
- Train the organization on the metrics and data tools needed to make business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and multi-discipline teams to enact facility programs using collected data and present them to leadership.
What you'll need
- Engineering in a civil background is a must.
- A University Degree in Civil/Structural, Mechanical, Industrial, or similar Engineering.
- A Bachelor of Science is the minimum requirement.
- 5+ years in technical and leadership roles in similar roles.
- Technical mastery capability in Structural, Civil, Industrial, Mechanical, or similar Engineering.
- Deep technical mastery in one or more of the specified engineering disciplines.
- Technical knowledge and experience in Seismic, Geotechnical, Building Codes for Industrial, Roofing and Building Envelopes, Civil, Building Systems including Steel and Concrete, Thermal and Utilities Systems, and Sustainability.
- Capability to lead programs in Facilities and Utilities.
- Ability to communicate to many levels and engage frequently with company hierarchy from multiple categories.
- Ability to lead and influence key engineering decisions.
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines, with multiple external contractors, and across multiple regions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to balance priorities, make realistic commitments, and deliver on commitments.
- Listening, team-building, and collaboration skills to leverage individuals' unique skills and experiences.
- Proficient verbal and written skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities without direct supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills to develop working relationships across P&G organizations and with external partners and contractors.
- Proficiency in technical systems integration.
- Ability to optimize P&G Standards and Requirements with industry norms across multiple Facilities disciplines.
- Ability to develop a Foundational Systems Management Program and apply intelligent interpretation and predictive analysis.
- Ability to implement tools and systems using data and analytics.
Nice to have
- A Master's Degree or equivalent.
