Senior Manager I- Controllership R2R Ops

Overview

Lead a team responsible for R2R accruals activities in BMS's Hyderabad Centre of Excellence while also supporting execution of R2R transactional accounting activities, acting as a player-coach.

What you'll do

• Oversee the team responsible for R2R accruals activities, including prepaids related to operating expense, payroll, and amortization / depreciation.
• Lead the team while also supporting execution of R2R transactional accounting activities.
• Monitor and manage specific month-end, quarter-end, and year-end related activities per close timetable in collaboration with local markets and third-party service provider.
• Calculate reserves for bad debt, inventory obsolescence, and compensation.
• Reclass reserves for bad debt, inventory, and compensation.
• Revalue and translate transactions related to foreign currency.
• Ensure high quality and accuracy of work and service by the R2R team through regular review, checks, and approval.
• Monitor and manage internal customer satisfaction levels, taking immediate action as appropriate.
• Manage period audits, management level reporting, and disaster recovery related activities.
• Manage ad-hoc projects initiated by R2R leadership.
• Serve as an inspirational and engaging leader who motivates and engages through clear articulation of R2R process-related priorities.
• Identify and manage training and upskilling of local team members.
• Hold self and others to timelines, quality, and accuracy.
• Articulate material risks and opportunities and take an active role in designing and executing response or contingency plans.

• Exceptional expertise in record-to-report accounting processes.
• Deep understanding of the business landscape, market trends, and industry dynamics.
• Open communication and cooperation to ensure R2R activities are executed seamlessly.
• Excellent leadership skills, inspiring and motivating team members to deliver exceptional results.
• A minimum of 7-9 years of experience is required.
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting leadership roles.

• Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
• Work mode: expected 50% in-person at the Hyderabad location.
• Minimal travel expected.
