Senior Manager, Technical Program Management

Overview

Lead the Technical Program Management team within GitLab Engineering's newly formed centralized R&D PMO. Shape the program management function while partnering with Product and Engineering leadership to deliver high-priority programs.

What you'll do

• Lead and mentor Technical Program Managers across product areas.
• Align TPM staffing and assignments with business objectives.
• Establish program management standards, documentation, and planning processes.
• Develop the long-term strategy and vision for Program Management.
• Build relationships with Engineering, Product, Security, and GTM stakeholders.
• Identify risks, resolve conflicts, and remove delivery obstacles.
• Define KPIs and hold teams accountable for commitments.

What you'll need

• Experience as a people manager and individual-contributor TPM.
• Ability to prioritize and delegate work effectively.
• Successful collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience executing strategic team development plans.
• Ability to coach cross-functional, product-driven initiatives.
• Ability to act as a trusted partner and thought leader.
