Senior Manger, Product Security Engineering

Overview

Senior Manager role within F5 PlatSec Hyderabad/Bangalore, supporting the evaluation and execution of current and future security and certification projects.

What you'll do

• Serve as the tactical vision for the PlatSec team in Hyderabad/Bangalore.
• Help build the overall strategic vision working with the Global Leadership team within PlatSec.
• Be an active member of the site leadership team, supporting the goals of creating a stronger, more integrated India organization.
• Lead tactical analysis of requirements and define the design for new and modified certifications and security initiatives.
• Assist teams with project scope and estimating.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered in their entirety.
• Grow the security skills of the team.
• Engage with customers to address escalations and devise solutions.
• Engage with Product Management to drive detailed product requirements.
• Uphold F5's Business Code of Ethics and promptly report violations of the Code or other company policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What you'll need

• Knowledge and experience with product security initiatives, including federal certifications, security architectures, and vulnerability management.
• Experience building and leading a team of Security Engineers.
• Exceptional problem solving.
• Able to collaborate and thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
• Regularly finds ways to communicate widely through discussions, white papers, publications and other channels.
• Regularly demonstrates collaboration by promoting others' ideas, influencing others, and making teams successful.
• Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communications.
• Regarded as technical lead by peers and management.
• Must be a Subject Matter Expert in a Product Security area.
• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years managing a security-focused team of engineers.
