Senior ML Engineer - Biometrics

Overview

Qualcomm is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to solve complex problems in the fingerprint domain, developing machine learning algorithms for fingerprint classification.

What you'll do

• Develop machine learning algorithms for classification of fingerprints.
• Interact with multiple teams, including software, hardware and testing teams.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience, OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of academic or work experience with a programming language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• Graduation in engineering with preference to EE, computer science, or mathematics.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Machine Learning.
• Full mastery in Python.
• Knowledge in C coding.
• Good communication skills to allow effective cooperation with a global development team.
• Proven innovation track record, in the form of approved patents, publications, etc.
• Key skills: ML model development, deep learning ML development, PyTorch, NumPy, OpenCV, computer vision, Siamese-based networks, reinforcement learning, transformer architecture-based models.

Nice to have

• Master's degree.
• Experience with one or more of the following fields: signal processing, image processing.
