Senior Network Engineer - LAN

Overview

Senior Network Engineer – LAN responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and troubleshooting IP networking components for a mission-critical datacenter network on Cisco Nexus platforms.

What you'll do

• Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot IP networking components in production environments.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity-related issues, including with external customers.
• Partner with Network Architects and Engineers to improve datacenter network environments.
• Initiate network operations improvement projects and apply standards for operational excellence.
• Review, analyze, and execute network change requests.
• Execute, document, and develop network automation for repetitive tasks.
• Create and maintain network documentation such as diagrams and runbooks.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of experience working with medium-to-large enterprise networks.
• Hands-on expertise in network security, load balancing, routing, and switching.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls for network security.
• Experience with load balancing using F5 (or equivalent).
• Routing experience including MPLS, OSPF, and BGP.
• Switching experience with Cisco Nexus 9k/7k/5k/2k.
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Python tools (Netmiko, Nornir, NAPALM).
