Senior Network Engineer - LAN

Overview

Senior Network Engineer – LAN for a global team supporting a mission-critical SaaS production environment, focused on maintaining and improving a Cisco Nexus-based datacenter network.

What you'll do

• Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot IP networking components in a datacenter network.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues with external customers.
• Partner with Network Architects and Engineers to improve datacenter network environments.
• Initiate network operations improvement projects and apply operational standards.
• Review, analyze, and execute network change requests.
• Develop and execute network automation for repetitive tasks.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of experience working with medium-to-large enterprise networks.
• Hands-on expertise in network security, including Palo Alto firewalls.
• Hands-on expertise in load balancing using F5 (or equivalent).
• Hands-on expertise in routing (MPLS, OSPF, BGP) and switching (Cisco Nexus 9k/7k/5k/2k).
• Working knowledge of Cisco IOS (Nexus OS preferred).
• Strong experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Python tools (Netmiko, Nornir, NAPALM).
• Ability to create and maintain network documentation (diagrams, runbooks).
